Design and Strength
The Delta Shelta is engineered for strength and designed to withstand cyclones and storms. It is built from pre-cut, laminated plywood pieces that form the framework of the dwelling, which is lined internally with structural bracing ply and clad externally with corrugated iron. The design of the structure, along with the materials used, creates a very strong and pleasant dwelling. The house sits on a concrete or wooden base with steel tie-downs and straps used to
anchor the structure down.

PanelBuild Pacific has three structures in its product range. The K1, a small single-room 10 square metre dwelling. The K2, a bigger two-roomed, 20 square metre dwelling, and the K3 is the largest dwelling in the delta style that utilises a mezzanine floor to increase the floor
area to over 50 square metres. These homes are styled in the shape of traditional dwellings constructed in the Pacific region and are economically constructed to keep the cost down and make them affordable.
Kit Set
The Delta Shelta is designed as a kit set for ease of transport and self-assembly construction. This feature is particularly important for remote and inaccessible sites, which are common in the Pacific region. The houses are constructed without the need for complicated tools, which allows the homeowner to be involved in the building process.
